It has been a couple of months...so I had another MRI and things are stable. Charley has not gotten any bigger...or any smaller.
I'm no longer needing my walker.
I'm getting more independence and have been moving back into the house. It's been a chore...a lot of cleaning. I've never been the cleanest, and I am really REALLY trying to make a change...So I told my friend if he sees me slacking to remind me. I have the living room almost completely take care of. I need to pull the rug out and figure out what to do with the coffee table (prolly put both in storage for a while) then pull the sofa out and clean under it...Also I need to pull the TV stand and clean behind it...I had the bright idea of using the vacuum to clean the ash out of the fire place...Ash EVERYWHERE!!! Well...THAT was a great idea! Now...try cleaning that ash off everything...mostly what you do is just redistribute it! ARGH!!!
Next thing will be the kitchen. I have 2 BIG issues with the kitchen...1. the fridge has broken, and 2. the stove doesn't work. I have been wanting to replace those things. The fridge is old...It's an old HotPoint, and it is a good 15, 20 years old I think. It isn't an energy star, so it inflated my electric bill by $30 a month... Yes, it is plugged in, the lightbulb goes on when you open it. The big problem is I have meds that need to be kept cool...but at least we don't have the summer heat here yet. Been scrambling to locate a small used or loner fridge till I can get a new one.
Now for the stove. I want a stove that is easier to clean! I plan on getting an electric one with a solid 1 piece cook top. The one I have is gas...I have a vent hood, and I will keep that vent hood on and working. Hey sometimes food smokes...or burns...or as I can show you by the black circle on the ceiling...even explode!!! Don't let me near your stove top...I don't know if it's a Muslim thing or just me...but apparently, I am good at blowing stuff up...even when I do NOT want to. I still have a lot of black scorch marks on the wall behind the stove and the cabinets above it, especially near the ceiling. KABOOM!!! Which is why there is cooking oil all over the place! FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!! Yes, I am still finding cooking oil from that blow up.
Anyway, after gaining quite a bit of weight, I have finally managed to lose a bit..about 6 pounds. :)
Well, I'm going to sign off...I'll try to post a bit more often, insha'Allah.
